Vintage/retro 1970's/70s chocolate brown, angel wing/caped long/maxi dress with empire line fitting. The underarm to underarm measurement is 17 to 18 inches as there is a bit of stretch in the material. The dress falls from under the bust and has like a cape or angel wing all the way around to the back of the dress, the waist and hip sizes are not really applicable as the dress has a lot of gathering under the bust and falls straight down. Under the bust measurement is 30 to 32 inches. The dress length is about 57 inches as is but the hem has been taken up about 2½ inches this can be taken down giving you 59½ inch length from shoulder to hem. The size on the label is 17? (never seen that before, but there you go, first time for everything). I estimate the size to be about UK10, possibly UK12 but please measure something you wear on a regular basis to ensure this will fit. The condition is very good.
