Two folios, 168p; 303p; bound in 19th century quarter leather over marbled boards. Spines with raised bands, gilt lettering, and decoration. Marbled endpapers and edges. Illustrated throughout with 142 black and white plates. A pencil note on the front free endpaper indicates that this is complete except for the "Before" & "After" plates at the end of volume two, these were not included by the publisher due to reasons of morality. These volumes do not contain formal title pages. Some scuffs, rubbing and wear, occasional light scattered foxing, some slight damage to spines, previous owner's bookplate, else in very good condition.
