Unusual Vintage Stanley No 2 Type 5/6 Plane Frog INV16814

Here we have a nice hand plane frog for a Stanley No 2. This frog looks to have features that put it as being made at the transition from the type 5 to the type 6, right around 1888. The adjuster knob is right hand thread with the patent on the inside (type 5), while the lateral adjuster lever is a two piece construction with three patent dates (type 6). It is in very good condition. Please see the pics.
