This is an early antique 21” inch Cloth Doll with an all original oil painted head.  The seam on the head runs down the back of head, from ears on down, and below the chin. The hair and facial features are very nicely done and are all original-oil painted.  The body is all cloth with very minor wear and some of the Painted areas show minor wear, but is all original.  Dressed in his original Scottish outfit. Outfit shows minor wear and fading. A great early cloth doll. Never restored or repaired. Fantastic condition given its age. Outstanding early cloth doll with exceptional outfit.
