The player can choose the route that LEGO Mario (sold separately) will follow. Defeat any of Bomuhei, Nokonoko, or Pac-n-Flower waiting on each route, and hit the POW block to open the gate.
To reach the fort, Lego Mario must take either the grassland route, the lava route, or the water route. Depending on the enemy character that awaits, LEGO Mario's reaction will also differ.
