Vintage from the 1930’s I believe.

A very sweet copy of Encyclopaedia of Needlework by Therese De Dillmont. Published by Mulhouse (France) from the D.M.C Library.

It’s undated but I should think circa 1920-30’s

seemingly published by WHSmith’s ?

It’s a lovely Hardback book with browny-green cloth boards with black titling and illustration.

Gorgeous black and gold DMC logo endpapers.

The book has over 800 pages and covers many aspects of Needlecraft, would make a great gift for a keen sewer. I have another copy of my own, which I’ve had for over 30 yrs and it has been a wealth of information on all aspects of sewing and knitting, repairs/ mending and general tips.

These encyclopaedias have been standard recommended issue for textiles/ fashion students for years now. In good condition for its’ age.

No marks or scribbles inside, but the marker ribbon has worn away.

Book measures 14 x 10 cms.
