This Universal Windshield Sensor Gel Pad Repair Kit will replace the original clear Sensor Gel Pad located in the Rain Sensor housing on the windshield glass. The repair kit containes a syringe filled with Resin Gel, and simple instructions how to apply the resin. Once applied correctly, it will form a replacement gel pad within 15 minutes after applying the resin. A Sensor Gel Pad is required to make the wiper blades to go on automatically when it rains. If the vehicle windshield was replaced recently and the Sensor Gel Pad between inside the sensor housing was not replaced, or the original Sensor Gel Pad dried-up, it will require replacement with a new Sensor Gel Pad, otherwise the Rain Sensor System will not function properly, or not function at all. We recommend to check if there is an existing sensor gel pad inside the sensor housing, or checking the condition of the original rain Sensor Gel pad, before going and replacing the complete Rain Sensor housing system, which would be an expensive and costly project to begin with.
