Vintage Functional Lock & Key with Brass Body & Thin Steel Key Made by Eagle Lock Company 

Eagle lock company was established in 1833 in Terryville, Connecticut.  It was at one time the largest trunk and cabinet lock maker in the world.  

Tested and Worked.

To open:  Please examine photos 3 - 5 before attempting to open.  With Favorite side facing up, insert key and gently push to open ( short half is top & long half is bottom ).  Pushing in the key will simply open the lock.  No turning required, turning will break key since it is thin.
