The first of the great Chicago's World's buildings, the Administration Building, was erected on May 9, 1930 in what is now the entrance to Grant Park. The fair celebrated creative spirit, innovative ideas and the latest materials and design. The handle of the spoon features the Travel and Transport building with symbols from the Fair. The back handle of the spoon shows the Hall of Science and the rostrum, or pavilion, for displays, speakers and performances. Also on back are the words "Oneida Community Par Plate" which is a designation for a type of silver. Owning this spoon is owning a piece of history. 5 3/4 inches.
