Product introduction
From the title of Smetacek conducting ALTUS
Scheherazade, a famous performance with Michelangeli and highly praised by Naoya Hirabayashi.
A limited edition set that lets you enjoy must-listen Russian music all at once!
This is a limited edition set of 3 titles (total 3 discs) from the titles conducted by Smetacek released by ALTUS, housed in a craft-like three-sided back case as they are in the individual packaging. Enjoy the great performances of Smetáček, who has been active all over the world and is known in the Czech Republic as a "flying conductor'' and "music ambassador'', and in Japan with the catchphrase "Czech Karajan.''
[ALT-481] "Emperor" with perfectionist Michelangeli is a masterpiece with a well-organized orchestra and lively solo dialogue. In addition, "Spring'' is a valuable record as it is a repertoire that has not been commercially recorded. This is a very good stereo recording, and you can enjoy Smetacek's masterpiece to your heart's content.
[ALT-489] "Scheherazade" is a great performance that was highly praised by music critic Naoya Hirabayashi, who is known as the Banki, when it first appeared in Japan. It has now been remastered by ALTUS and is being released again. 《"Scheherazade'' is still wonderful. Smetáček controlled the orchestra in a straightforward manner, reproducing a clear sound. Smetacek's typical delicacy is also fully present. He doesn't let up on the reins and maintains his dignified dignity until the end, and the aftertaste is excellent. (From explanation by Naoya Hirabayashi)》
[ALT-490] Smetacek's collection of 20th century Russian symphonies! How amazing is Shostakovich's 3rd symphony, which ignores avant-garde ideas and creates a powerful drama with tremendous tension! A determined development with a sense of speed that makes your hands sweat, The final chorus, sung loudly in Czech, is also deeply moving. Prokofiev's 7th, on the other hand, is full of beautiful songs, and is thrilling as it weaves and plays with melodies one after another in an exhilarating sense of rhythm. Both songs are captivating with Smetacek's outstanding interpretation and skillful orchestral drive, making them outstanding performances known only to those in the know!
