For
"THE MARSUPIAL WOLF"
aka
THYLACINE, TASMANIAN TIGER, TASMANIAN WOLF....
"picture after Gould"

Seller Comment: If not THE most iconic depiction of the Thylacine, this was originally published by John Gould , The Mammals of Australia Vol.1, c1863.
This is a later ( 1930’s) printing , taken from a Weekly publication, in 1933...so the picture is actually just over 90 years old!..(...it is NOT a modern day reproduction)
interestingly, when this 1930's print was published,  there were still Thylacines alive, and although endangered & doomed, not yet extinct.

A single page lithograph in colour.

Condition is overall  good, expect some  soiling/ marks, page slightly yellowed,  from age/ storage conditions. There is some faint ink markings / wordings that may have 'bled' / smudged onto the print page, possibly an ink stamp or the like from a library??
Frame is brand new. with a bit of a rustic look, white Matt board,  clear real glass front.
Frame has a small bracket loops etc to allow wall hanging.

Would make a great medium poster display in your home, office, man cave, etc...
