This David Chandler inspired loop is 8 seconds of new Maxell XL II Chrome Tape running in an opaque yellow cassette shell. It comes in a standard jewel case with a clear front and black back.

The loop functions well on both sides of the cassette so you can record a different sample/loop on both sides of the audiotape using standard cassette recorders.

I carefully assemble every cassette by hand on a splicing block with professional splicing tape and test every tape for functionality on four different cassette decks: Tascam porta02 mkII, Tascam 424 mkIII, Sony TCM-20DV, Jensen MCR-100.

although these tapes work in most walkman and shoebox style cassette players as well as in most 4track decks they do not work in every cassette player. For example I have been told that loop tapes do not function in a Yamaha CRX100 four track player.
