  • Datierung: um 1690

  • Beschreibung: Schmuckvolle detailreich illustrierte Landkarte von Hessen mit Bad Homburg im Mittelpunkt. Die Karte reicht südlich bis nach Sprendlingen, östlich bis Reichelsheim, nördlich Diedenhofen und westlich Idstein. Die Kartusche mit lateinischer Inschrift oben links wird von einem Engel getragen. Die Kartusche unten rechts ist von Pflanzen berankt. Das Kolorit ist in herrlich leuchtenden Farben erhalten geblieben. Wohl späterer Abdruck.

  • Zustand: Akzeptabler Zustand. Das Papier hat sich minimal altersbedingt verfärbt und ist stellenweise fleckig. Die Ränder unten sind teils knitterfaltig. Mit senkrechter Mittelfalz. Der Klebestreifen verso lässt darauf schließen, dass das Blatt einem Buch entnommen wurde.

  • Inscription: Upper left inscribed in the printing plate: "Reliquorum Moeno Mogono Adiacentium Pars Inferior". Lower right further inscription: "Duce hora miliare germanicum constituentis | Moguntia | apud Nicol Person".

  • Date: c. 1690

  • Description: Beautifully detailed illustrated map of Hesse with Bad Homburg in the centre. The map extends south to Sprendlingen, east to Reichelsheim, north to Diedenhofen and west to Idstein. The cartouche with the Latin inscription at the top left is carried by an angel. The cartouche at the bottom right is entwined with plants. The colouring has been preserved in wonderfully bright colours. Probably a later impression.

  • Condition: Rather good condition. The paper has discoloured minimally due to age and is stained in places. The lower margins are creased in places. With vertical centrefold. The adhesive strip on the verso suggests that the sheet was removed from a book.
