The padlock was made around the middle of the 19th century by a Russian master blacksmith Mikhail Mitenin in the Nizhny Novgorod province. This type of padlock was called a "skirt" in Russia, and in appearance resembled a women's skirt.

On the shackle of the padlock there is a mark of the master written in Russian - "Mikhail Mitenin". The number of padlock No. 5 is also indicated, according to this number it was possible to order a lock to the master remotely by writing him a letter.

The padlock is in good collectible condition, working, opens and closes with a key. One key.

The weight of the lock together with the key is about 915 grams.
