Agota Korin. Red and White Plum Blossoms is a two panel screen created by Korin, 1658-1716, late in his life in about 1715.
This screen is known as one of Korin's greatest works and is one of Japan's National Treasures.

This finely crafted and dyed leather panel is a representation of the right hand panel, Red Plum Blossoms. It has been incorporated as the top cover of a large deluxe leather bound photograph album, probably in the last 60 years or so.
The album measures 37 x 40cm. The leather spine is embossed in brown decoration and titled ALBUM. The bottom cover is plain leather.
The album contains 20 Substantial card silver patterned leaves, creating 40 pages.
It is contained within a custom made cardboard box.

Like New: completely unused in original box.
