The DNAS 18 lamp is a low-pressure sodium arc spectral discharge lamp.

The DNAS 18 lamp has a flask made of SL 97-1 glass, inside of which there is a tube made of sodium-resistant glass - an emitter, which is filled with a strictly dosed amount of metallic sodium and argon. The arc discharge occurs in sodium vapor.

The DNAS 18 lamp is a source that emits yellow light in the spectral range with wavelengths of 589 and 589.6 nm and is used in spectroscopy, refractometry, polarimetry, chemistry, lighting engineering, as well as in medical technology and laboratory equipment.

The DNAS 18 lamp is used as a reference lamp in polarimeters (circular polarimeter SM-3) and spectrophotometers.
