The cooling feature works just fine for cleaning the air in a room, but the heating function is a tad troublesome. With no filter in the heat function will work 75% of the time, with a used filter in it works about 25% of the time. Unsure of how it functions with a new filter. The error it receives is H2. If you unplug the unit and plug back in and power it back up, this is how you can trick it into working. Doesn't always work the first time around but it eventually does. I've cleaned the top fan unit with soap and water and cleared the minimal dust in the base of the unit. No odd odors emit from unit. Works great as an air purifier. Has 10 speeds, tilt function, and rotation. You can choose a direct flow of air or a wide spread flow. Includes working remote. Comes with original packaging and paperwork. Retails at $529.99 new.
