The 2020–21 season marked another illustrious chapter in the rich history of FC Bayern Munich, the powerhouse of German football. In what was their 122nd season, Bayern continued their dominance, securing their 56th consecutive season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga. Led by President Herbert Hainer, Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and Manager Hansi Flick, the club's journey unfolded at their iconic home, the Allianz Arena.

Beyond the domestic league, Bayern Munich embarked on a campaign that encompassed multiple prestigious competitions. The DFB-Pokal, the DFL-Supercup, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup were all part of their ambitious itinerary during the season, spanning from 24 August 2020 to 30 June 2021.

Building on the continental treble achieved in the previous season, Bayern Munich added to their silverware by clinching victories in the DFL-Supercup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. This triumph not only solidified their status as a football powerhouse but also etched their name in history. Bayern became only the second team in European football, after Barcelona in 2009, to achieve the elusive "sextuple" by winning all six competitions they participated in throughout the calendar year.

The Bundesliga campaign saw Bayern reclaim their familiar position at the top, securing the 1st position in the league. However, their journey in the DFB-Pokal was halted in the second round, providing a minor setback in an otherwise triumphant season.

Robert Lewandowski emerged as the goal-scoring maestro, dominating both the league and all competitions. With an astounding 41 goals in the Bundesliga and a remarkable total of 48 goals across all competitions, Lewandowski's prowess played a pivotal role in Bayern's success.

The season showcased the team's resilience and determination, exemplified by their biggest win, an 8–0 victory against Schalke 04. However, a 1–4 defeat against 1899 Hoffenheim served as a reminder of the challenges encountered along the way.

The leadership of Herbert Hainer, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and the managerial acumen of Hansi Flick provided the guiding force for Bayern's triumphant journey. As the season concluded, Bayern Munich stood as not only the Bundesliga champions but as an indomitable force on the European stage, leaving an indelible mark on the storied history of the club.
