Aus der Radierungssammlung I celebri freschi di Gaspare Possino nella chiesa di S. Martino a' Monti in Roma , Rom 1810. Am unteren Rand der Darstellung in der Druckplatte signiert und in lateinischer Sprache mit einem Zitat Petrus Dorlandus aus dem Leben der Heiligen Anna bezeichnet.

Entlang der Blattkanten sind Verfärbungen des Papiers, leichte bis deutliche Knickfalten sowie vereinzelte Randeinrisse feststellbar.

  • Description: After Poussin's frescoes in the church of San Martino a' Monti in Rome on the biblical story of Elijah and Elisha from the Book of Kings. From the etching collection I celebri freschi di Gaspare Possino nella chiesa di S. Martino a' Monti in Roma , Rome 1810. Signed in the lower margin of the image in the printing plate and inscribed in Latin with a quotation from Petrus Dorlandus from the Life of Saint Anne.

  • Condition: Defective condition. Light foxing is visible on the entire sheet. The lower right corner of the sheet has a large liquid stain. There is discolouration of the paper along the edges of the sheet, slight to distinct creases as well as isolated tears in the margins.
