1967 domestic 'top of the pile' taxed franking: 27 Nov 1967 postmarked printed matter window cover on imprinted business postal stationary, sent from TEL AVIV & business meter franked 12ag at the DO-12 period domestic printed matter postage rate; the addressee was subsequently found to have left without leaving a forwarding address (faint black instructional handstamp on front + manuscript on back) & as the envelope is imprinted at base "return postage guaranteed", this letter and all others to same addressee were returned together with the total tax calculated and applied to the cover placed at the top of the pile - here, charged 216 Agorot, the 12ag return fee (same as the sending fee) for 18 letters and paid on 3 Dec using 4x 1965/67 Town Emblem franks, tied by 2x strikes of the TEL AVIV-6 (head post office) postmark.
