Here is a vintage 1950’s pink dress and matching belt. It has no brand or size tag, but I fit a modern day size 2-4 and it fits me (tight in the waist, I have a 25.5” waist and can get this zipped up without any shape wear) please see measurements. This dress has a gorgeous rose printed brocade sweetheart bodice and a full skirt.

Laying flat it measures a hare over 17” across from underarm to underarm, 12.5” at the waist, 15.5” from top of dress to waist, a hare under 25” from waist to end of skirt and about 41” in total length. The belt has no holes and it measures 28.25”in total length. It has a little bit of wear on the buckle and the end, see photos.

There was a repair near the waist that is covered by the belt where the chiffon skirt meets the waist, please see photo. The “tab” part of the zipper broke, not the zipper itself. I looped clear fishing string thru the hole and fashioned it as a pull. When closed, I tucked the clear fishing string into the back of the dress. I figured this would be the strongest and most discreet option vs replacing the zipper for just the little “pull”. There is a small area of chiffon that has seperated from the bodice at the back right near the zipper, but it is very hard to notice once the dress is on, please see photo. Other than these things mentioned, the dress is really beautiful.

I will send this in a box to help protect it.

I purchased this about 10-12 years ago as vintage from an Etsy shop (the first 3 pics are from that listing on a dress form, the rest of the pictures are ones I took myself just now…also those first 3 pictures show it with a crinoline under it if you want to make it fuller looking, or you can choose to wear it without for a sleeker more modern look). I wore it once. I am downsizing my vintage clothing collection, so check out my other items as I am happy to combine shipping!
