Yankees won the regular game 7-5.  Dock Ellis got the win.  Dick Tidrow got the save.  Steve Barr took the loss.  Greg Nettles had a single, double, and HR.  Thurman Munson (HOF) had two singles and two RBIs.  Mickey Rivers had two hits and an RBI.

For the Rangers, Mike Hargrove had a three run HR. 

Old Timers Game was a re-match of the stars of the classic 1960 World Series between the PITTSBURGH PIRATES and the NEW YORK YANKEES. Hall-of-Famers who played in the game included YOGI BERRA, WHITEY FORD, BOB LEMON, MICKEYMANTLE, PHIL RIZZUTO, BILL MAZEROSKI, and LLOYD WANER.
