Vintage 1962 Silvertone by Kay Vanguard Christmas Wishbook Special == Beautiful (unfaded) trans-Cherry finsh only available in the winter of 1962 -- the asymetrical double-cut design and transparent finish look very similar to Epiphone Coronets of the era == 25 1/2" scale, 1 5/8" nut width, medium-chunky D profile, and a light 6 2/3 lbs. (approx on my postal scales) == VG 7/10 or better all-original condition -- play wear, light scratches/marks, small dings, but very nice overall appearance -- chrome in nice shape -- only light fret wear == The back had a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" area of heavy dried duct tape residue right over the neck mounting screws (last pic, I'd already cleaned it some) that was difficult to remove, but it eventually cleaned up pretty good and could be buffed out a little more if desired == Pots (dating to mid-1962) cleaned and lubed, fresh 9-42 strings installed, decent action at just under 1/8" 12th fret low E and a hair over 3/32" high E -- can't go much lower because of the pickup height! == Includes original and rare Brown Leatherette gig bag in good shape, working zipper -- very few of these survived == Ships Worldwide
