Vintage DOUBLE DIAMOND MEMBERS KEY BOTTLE OPENER - 1960's Nice Patina IND COOPE

This is an interesting "DOUBLE DIAMOND MEMBERS KEY" Advertising Bottle Opener dating from the 1960's.   Produced as a publicity item to advertise Ind Coope's famous Double Diamond Pale Ale. This is quite an amusing bottle opener - The "Members Key" in question being a bottle opener that could be used to access Double Diamond by opening Bottles.    Obviously inspired by the AA and RAC Motoring Organisation Members Keys that many people carried on their key-rings back in those days that could be used to open special roadside telephone boxes in an emergency .  The opener has an unusual design and does a amazing job of opening bottle caps and is a pleasure to use.  Looks to made from Flat Steel and originally looks to have had a high chrome plated finish - the finish has built up a patina of age and wear over decades of use.  The opener has the "DOUBLE DIAMOND MEMBERS KEY" stamped on one side.
