Cast brass or bronze keyhole escutcheon with key door with what once was a nickel plate finish. Most of the nickel plating has long worn off. The escutcheon itself is in fair condition at best. While it does show lots of wear, the effect of being in use for well over 100 years, it is still straight and solid and the swinging keyhole door is still securely attached and swings freely. Note that the keyhole itself is rather large, about 1-1/8" long.

There are no maker or patent marks on it.

If you have questions or need more and/or better pictures let me know.  The pictures are your best description.  Be sure it's what you want/need before purchase.

Again, please remember you are buying items that are possible 100 or more years old.  No matter how nice they will never, ever be perfect or like new.  Please do not expect such.
