Pair 1/6 pl Tintypes 2 different families with the same man, 4 different women

Perhaps there's an innocent explanation for this fellow taking photos in two different family settings, but I love to imagine that my Mom acquired the photos from his estate and that the two families never knew about each other. Dad seems to have felt that all he had to do was change his necktie for the different sittings. Now, if they were just different groupings like siblings or wife and daughter, why would he do that?

In any case, all sitters are interesting, dressed in fun clothes including hats with gigantic bows, etc., so this is a fun set to have.

Surface scratching to both images. A bit of fading to the one with the lady in a white dress. Some creases to the hatless photo. Two corners clipped on the hat one.

Tins measure about 3.5 x 2.5 inches.

My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able.

There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn't able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it's a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process.

I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so please check out my other listings.
