2: Wear protective gloves and goggles.

3: Protect the work area with a drop cloth.

4: Use a screwdriver or scraper to remove the old gasket and clean the doorway to bare metal.

5: Apply a coat of sealant to the door slot.

6: Press the new gasket into the slot where the glue was dripped and close the door to check for air tightness.

7: Trim the gasket as needed.

8: Immediately remove any spilled or excess glue with a damp cloth.
