During the Victorian era it would have been unheard of for your undergarments to be hung outside to dry for all the world to see - That is what this little wooden rack was used for - It was used for drying undergarments (aka lingerie) inside - This fabulous old rare and hard to find piece is 34" high x 27" wide x 7" deep - It is in excellent overall condition - Due to age shrinkage, the press fitting have become loose and it is wobbly - BUT still displays beautifully & sturdy enough to display light linens or antique lingerie
