This listing is for an old wood learning toy from the 1950's. Made by Holgate Toys in the USA. This toy is made of wood in the shape of a shoe with real cloth laces which can be used to help a child learn to tie their shoes or just for display. I do not know if these are original or replacement laces. I believe they are replacements. The front of the shoe, the words on the sides (which are the words to the rhyme about the old woman who lived in a shoe), and the base are painted a teal green color, the tongue is blue, and there is a red door painted on the back with a cutout for the window. There were originally little wooden people who went inside the shoe but they have been lost. It is in good vintage condition for its age. There is missing paint and wear and some of the wood is a little warped. Please see the pics for additional information. A sweet piece for a nursery or childs room.
