Small 1-3/4" cast bronze doorknob by Russell & Erwin K-10400 C:1874.  Ornately detail front and back. The knob itself has not been altered but it is attached to a separate cast bronze piece that has a threaded end. Both are attached to a 1/4" spindle. The set screw was drilled out but due to the heavily rusted spindle the parts could not be separated without damaging them. What is was used/designed for is unknown. Maybe treaded into a cane or bed post? Sold as is.

Please remember that these are old pieces, many coming from homes 100+ years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear.
