Troubleshooting Guide

Our eSIM generally works with no issues, however if you encounter any issues with the eSIM, please check the following:

  1. You must be connected to Wi-Fi when scanning the eSIM
  2. Turn off any other SIM and any VPN (if applicable), your phone also must also not be on airplane mode
  3. Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
  4. Turn on mobile data and wait at least 5-10 minutes for activation – do NOT change any settings 
  5. APN should be “mobile.three.com.hk” (if it is not automatic)
  6. Network operator should be automatically selected but if it isn’t please select manually to the supported network below. 
  7. Restart your phone (off / on) or turn airplane mode on / off
  8. If you experience drop outs please turn on / off the eSIM line
  9. Please check your mobile network settings to make sure the eSIM was installed (occasionally it may looked like the eSIM did not install successfully however it may already be installed on your phone)
  10. Please do not delete the eSIM, if you accidentally deleted the SIM there will be a $10 AUD charge imposed by the operator to reset the QR code and may take up to 24 hours.

Network Operators:

eSIM QR code along with the instruction will be sent via email instantly (please check your junk/spam email). Please note if you purchase a physical SIM in the same order, the eSIM will need to be sent manually (i.e. NOT instant), we recommend buying the eSIM separately.

List of eSIM Supported Handsets

*The list below only applies to Australian mobile phone, please always check your mobile phone settings to see if you have “add eSIM” function to confirm compatibility or dial *#06# and see if you have “EID” number. For example, some iPhone purchased from China, HK or Macau and Samsung Galaxy purchased from US and Hong Kong versions do NOT have eSIM functionality. Pixel 3a from South East Asia is not compatible with eSIM.
