Foundry molds and patterns are wooden tools, carved out or built up to create negative space, which in turn is used to make the inverse form or shape to be used for the casting of metal.

One of the first steps in creating a piece of glass is to make the iron mold. That's what these were used for.

These molds came from the Fenton Glass Factory in Williamstown WV when they shut down.
