1 lot = 1 rod

Vintage leucosapphire made in ex-USSR in 70-80th. This rods have one side of polished, another is not. Cannot be used for making DIY solid lasers, because must be titanium alloyed, which making in laboratories, not at home. But they also have many applications. In Soviet Union it was produced to make elements of instrument optics - light guides, viewing windows, diffusers. Can also cut into very thin layers to obtain sapphire wafers - the basis for the manufacture of microcircuits. Initially, these rods were supposed to work in metallurgical furnaces as light guides as part of systems for measuring the temperature of liquid metal.

Maybe you can use it in jewellery DIY.
