Bezeichnet unten: "1887". Zwei Damen präsentieren die typische Mode des 19. Jahrhunderts: die enge Schnürung der Taille und den weiten Rock mit Gesäßpolster. Aufwändige Hochsteckfrisuren und ein Fächer runden den eleganten Auftritt ab. Erhard Klepper (Beuthen 1906-Berlin 1980), schrieb zahlreiche Bücher zur Geschichte der Mode und illustrierte sie mit eigenhändigen Zeichnungen, sein Ziel war es, die Kleidung samt ihrer Accessoires festzuhalten. U. a. war KlepperHerausgeber der Bücher "Die Modedes 18. Jh. " und "150 JahreWeltgeschichte für die Dame. Nach zeitgenössischen Berichten und Vorlagen 1801-1950 zusammengestellt"(Erstausgabe Herbig Verlagsbuchhandlung Berlin 1955, 223 Seiten mit zahlreichen Mode-Zeichnungen von Erhard Klepper).

Inscribed at the bottom: "1887". Two ladies present the typical fashion of the 19th century: the tight lacing of the waist and the wide skirt with buttock padding. Elaborate updos and a fan complete the elegant appearance. Erhard Klepper (Beuthen 1906-Berlin 1980), wrote numerous books on the history of fashion and illustrated them with his own drawings; his aim was to capture the clothes together with their accessories. Among other things, Klepper edited the books "Die Modedes 18. Jh." and "150 JahreWeltgeschichte für die Dame. Compiled according to contemporary reports and models 1801-1950" (first edition Herbig Verlagsbuchhandlung Berlin 1955, 223 pages with numerous fashion drawings by Erhard Klepper).
