  • Beschreibung: Darstellungstreifen mit getrennten Szenen: Links ein junges Paar, der Mann kniet flehend vor seiner Geliebten. Mittig ein weiblicher Akt, der ergriffen eine Engelsgestalt hält, die an den gekreuzigten Jesus Christus erinnert. Rechts zwei weibliche Akte, einer in Rückenansicht liegend, der andere kniend und sich die Haare raufend.

  • Inscription: Inscribed in pencil on a separate strip of the old backing at the bottom: Original pen-and-ink hand drawing by Duperaux lives in Geneva".

  • Description: Representational strip with separate scenes: On the left a young couple, the man kneels imploringly before his beloved. In the centre a female nude holding an angelic figure, reminiscent of the crucified Jesus Christ. On the right two female nudes, one lying in a supine view, the other kneeling and tussling her hair.

  • Condition: Defective condition. The lower left quarter of the sheet has been torn off and professionally restored. Slightly soiled in places. The lower right corner of the sheet is slightly bumped.
