Jaguar Bonnet Mascot - Early Jaguar 5" Car Mascot on a Black shiny Base - believed to be - 1958 to 1960 ish

A lovely and very special example of its type. It’s a relatively rare version which would make a nice addition to any collection of the Jag range of mascots. Definitely one for the Jag enthusiast.

This piece is a genuine original early bonnet mascot

This version was fitted to Jaguars between 1955 and 1969. Genuine, original mascots of this age have the makers stamp on the chest Prior to 1955 the earlier mascots had the rear legs in a 'crouched' position and those versions had no makers stamp

CONDITION

There are some very light very small surface marks here and there to the chrome with some very small areas of pitting. Having said that, whilst the close up photos highlight these areas when it’s sat in front of you it looks very nice indeed. For a genuine period early mascot, it’s in remarkable condition (please study the photos closely). It’s exactly how I like these things, it’s early, it’s totally original and has a beautiful soft used and aged patina whilst being very acceptable.

The wooden base size 5,5" x5,5" across is 8"
