  • Beschreibung: Lithographiert von François Séraphin DELPECH (1778 Paris - 1825 ebd.). Büstenporträt im Halbprofil. Als Kommandant im Ersten Koalitionskrieg gegen Österreich-Preußen eroberte Custine Mainz und brachte die Ideen des revolutionären Frankreich in die Rheingegend.

  • Inscription: Signed in the stone below the depiction, dated 1824 and inscribed with the sitter's name. Enclosed is a large-format facsimile of a letter with Custine's handwriting, dated 1788.

  • Description: Lithograph by François Séraphin DELPECH (1778 Paris - 1825 ibid.). Half-profile portrait of a bust. As commander in the First Coalition War against Austria-Prussia, Custine conquered Mainz and brought the ideas of revolutionary France to the Rhine area.
