Unusual Vintage Small Brass Lions Head Door Knocker Architectural Nice Patina

This auction is for an unusual Vintage Small Brass Lions Head Door Knocker.  The Knocker is quite an unusual design as it does not have a ring - instead the whole head of the Lion is the knocker which is grasped by a grip below the lions mouth and hinges on the striker plate..  The Lion is nicely cast - not sure how old it is but I can say its been in my possession for around twenty years sitting in a box of interesting things.  To give an idea of size the Knocker measures approx. 9cm tall and 6cm across.  It can be attached to a door using the three fixing screw on the back of the piece. 

Is in good vintage condition - is quite old so has lots of signs of age and use.  Please see photographs for details.
