  • Bezeichnung: Unterhalb der Darstellung vom Künstler in der Druckplatte signiert und datiert mit "Gemahlt von Hans Holbein dem jüngern" und "Gestochen von C.F. Stoeltzel in Dresden 1771". Das Blatt stammt aus der "Hagedornischen Sammlung" des berühmten Kunstsammlers Christian Ludwig von Hagedorn (1712 Hamburg - 1780 Dresden).

  • Beschreibung: Brustbild im Halbprofil eines unidentifizierten Mannes mit pelzverbrämtem Kragen. Unter der runden Rahmung des Bildnisses ist als fingierte Inschrift ein Zitat aus D. Albrecht Hallers "Versuch Schweizerischer Gedichte" zu lesen: "_es schickte jedermann den Mann von altem Schrote in Kistlers Zeit zurück_".

  • Inscription: Signed and dated by the artist in the printing plate below the depiction with "Painted by Hans Holbein the younger" and "Engraved by C.F. Stoeltzel in Dresden 1771". The print comes from the "Hagedorn Collection" of the famous art collector Christian Ludwig von Hagedorn (1712 Hamburg - 1780 Dresden).
