Joseph and Rose Kennedy Condolence Card after JFK Assassination. Accompanied by original mailing envelope date stamped December 26, 1963.

Joseph and Rose Kennedy printed thank you card, expressing thanks for condolences sent after JFK's assassination on November 22, 1963. The card reads: ''Mr. and Mrs. Joesph Patrick Kennedy thank you sincerely for your prayers and sympathy which are deeply appreciated.” Cream colored card with elegant black font and trim measures 5.25'' x 3.75'', in very good condition. Nate Sanders online auction sold one for $750. These cards are rare and hard to find. I’m offering this well below those selling prices. This is a must have for a Kennedy collector.

On the flight from Dallas back to Washington, DC, which carried the casket of President Kennedy and the newly sworn in President Lyndon B. Johnson, LBJ made a phone call to Rose Kennedy, JFK’s mother. On the two-hour call, LBJ tries to console Kennedy’s mother. "I wish to God there was something that I could do. And I wanted to tell you that we are grieving with you,” he said.
