Dinky Toys (France) No. 566 Citroen Police Van.  The model is in excellent fully original condition with no touch-up & only one replacement part (the lamp). It is fully original from the now age hardened tires fitted to the original hubs to the original windscreen and all windows.  Original sliding doors, which work perfectly.  Excellent base plate, POLICE lighted sign on roof and all POLICE markings (not decals, but original painted on at the factory).  Note that the lamp has been changed to a non-flashing one.  (Note that due to European Union regulations, the AA battery will not be included in the sale). The siren mechanism, using a rubber belt to the rear axle works to some extent making a slight siren noise.  The only issues with the model are a few scratches and chips, as seen in the photos as well as a bit of rust on the axles, which most likely could be cleaned if so desired.  The two left hand side windows have small cracks that are hard to detect.  In all an excellent original example of a rare French Dinky Toys that displays wonderfully.

The box is a proper reproduction with includes a copy of the instructions as well.  Sourced almost 20 years ago, the box has developed a patina that could allow it to be mistaken for an original.  Well, almost!
