The Gift Set consists of three (3) military models and all in in near to mint fully original condition with no touch-up or replacement parts whatsoever.
Some details on the contents:
1. Missile Erector Vehicle. A near perfect example with all original tires in place (including the original often missing spare). Perfect windows, exhaust and baseplate. The missile erection mechanisms all work perfectly. The original Corporal missile is complete with the original soft rubber percussion head.
The only issues are a few small chips as are common on matte green military models and some wear to the missile body as seen in the photos. Note that the missile decals, checkerboard pattern are all original to the model.
2. International Tow Vehicle. Also, a near-mint example in matte green. Excellent windows and baseplate. Original age hardened tires are fitted to the original green metal hubs. Excellent tow hook and decals. The only issues are a few minor chips to the matte green finish as seen in the photos. A superb example.
3. Missile Launcher. Also, a near-mint example in matte green. Age hardened tires are fitted to the spun aluminum removable hubs. All components work properly. The original towing hitch is in perfect condition. Original rubber extending feet are excellent as it the baseplate. The only issues are a bit of corrosion to the spars as seen in the photos.
The original box is in very good to excellent condition with a lovely full color box top illustration. The box also contains the often missing inner packing piece. The issue with the box is that is has had repairs (properly performed with paper) on the box top, box bottom and inner packing piece. Overall, one of the best boxes you will find.
The icing on the cake as they say, are the original instructions and other leaflets as follows:
a. Original large instruction sheet with is a four-fold. In black & white lithographed and just lovely.
b. Original bi-fold light blue instruction sheet for erecting the Corporal missile launcher.
c. Original one page instruction sheet for the Percussion head for the Corporal missile.
d. Original multi-color "Rocket Age" Corgi toys fold out catalogue showing this Gift set and the other models in the Rocket Age collection.
