This is a vintage prewar 1930s Lionel Corporation #81 speed controlling rheostat, including its original box.  The controlling rheostat is in good condition with some chipped paint and rust. The original box is in fair condition with some tears, missing sections, dirt and a musty scent. This is just my opinion; please judge the condition, based on the photos, for yourself.
