John Dobby Walker (United Kingdom, 1863 - 1925) was a painter born in Bradford who started his working career as a coach trimmer and painter at Sheethams, a local coach building firm. His first piece of art work was painting a crest on a carriage.


He studied painting at the Bradford Church Institute and, following a spell as an art teacher, devoted his time to painting, mainly landscape views. In addition to his work in England and Scotland, he visited Holland, Spain, Italy, painting scenes from his travels, and he exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
