Presented is a charming American sterling silver child's cup and saucer set. These pieces date to the first quarter of the 1900s, and were made by McChesney Co. Both pieces are finely detailed with nursery rhyme scenes, with the name of the nursery rhyme in neat block lettering. The cup depicts Little Jack Horner, Little Tom Tucker, Ding Dong Bell, and Wee Willie Winkie. The saucer depicts Old King Cole, Taffy Was a Welshman, Where Are You Going My Pretty Maid, Old Mother Hubbard, Hey Diddle Diddle, and A Was an Apple. The cup bears the name Nancy Lee, with Mother Goose figures underneath. The plate is also inscribed Nancy Lee, in the center. All the illustrations are very nicely done, with a lot of detail and character.

The saucer is in great shape. There are a couple of minor dings, one of which is camouflaged by a nursery rhyme scene. Otherwise there are no splits, no other dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The cup is in good shape. There are some dents around the bottom edge, which is unsurprising in a piece that was used by a child. The handle has a couple of dings as well. The details of the nursery rhyme scenes and their labels are nice and crisp, on both pieces.

Both pieces are stamped with the McChesney maker's mark as well as sterling.

The cup stands about 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures about 6 1/8 inches in diameter.

The total weight for the set is 189 grams or 6.7 regular ounces.
