This is for an original ticket stub for the July 18 1956 doubleheader between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The first game would be a makeup game from the June 2 rainout at the stadium while the second game would be the regularly scheduled game for the date. Even though the Tigers would down the Yankees 8-4 in the opener, Mickey Mantle would homer off of Paul Foytack in the first inning to give the Yanks an early 1-0 lead. The homer would be Mantles 31st of the year and 152nd of his career on the way to winning the Triple Crown in 1956. The Tigers would also down the Yanks 4-3 in the second game with Al Kaline hitting his 46th career home run. A nice stub for someone trying to collect every ticket stub from the Micks career or someone trying to collect all of Al Kalines 399 homers..
