OMC was one of the original manufacturers of ceramic mugs. It was headquartered in San Francisco, but the majority of its mugs were produced in Japan. OMC produced the most porcelain mugs in the 1960s and 1970s, and it eventually sold to a larger corporation in the mid-1990s.

The company was an importer and a distributor of porcelain, stoneware, and giftware in the San Francisco area for more than 46 years. The products were made in Japan and were imported for distribution and sold to high end department stores and gift shops. Otagiri products were handcrafted and handpainted.
