STASH
Born in Long Island, New York in 1967. Considered one of New York's Graffiti legends, he was a central figure in the East Village scene in Manhattan (also known as the ``melting pot'' at the time) in the early 1980s. At just 17 years old, he exhibited his first canvas painting alongside POP art pioneers Keith Haring and Basquiat. While the work of his contemporaries moved towards pop art, Stash, alongside Zephyr, focused on subway artwork until 1987, when he produced his last underground work. His early canvas efforts began in the late 1990s, when Stash pioneered graphic streetwear through high-profile collaborations with companies such as NIKE, Burton, Medicom-Toy and A Bathing Ape.
