1852 Valentine Anti-Slavery to PRIME MINISTER Earl of Derby 1d JJ from Newcastle
A very good/fine used example of this rare propaganda envelope by Valentine of Dundee, their Anti-Slavery envelope, in State 1, franked 1d Red JJ (corner crease) with the address panel filled by the sender saying, amongst other things (some fairly 'un PC'!), Righteousness Exalteth a Nations, but Sin is a reproach to any People!!. Addressed to the then Prime Minister, The Earl of Derby, London ! Postmarked Newcastle 3 November 1852. Amazing item!
