This Telescope Pen Laser Pointer Base/Saddle/Bracket is the perfect addition to any telescope equipped with a Vixen-style finder scope shoe. It is compatible with Celestron SCT models C8, C9.25, C11, C14, Edge versions, ZWO AM5, and essentially any other telescope with a similar shoe. Its Small Vixen Dovetail design allows for easy installation and removal. The Pen Laser Pointer Base/Laser Pointer Polar Finder Base facilitate easy alignment of your telescope. This unit is constructed from PETG material and is available in a quantity of 2: adjustable base itself and laser pointer on/off locker. Its features include a Small Vixen Dovetail, Polar Finder Base, Pen Laser Pointer Base, and Finder Base. With the laser pointer's diameter being 14mm, it offers a universal fit for all telescopes. It has 3 nylon screws for precise alignment. This is an inexpensive way to perform approximate polar alignment on ZWO AM5 mounts. It's also a very effective method for locating objects in the night sky or for showing others at a star party exactly where your telescope is pointed. With a specifically designed the on/off locker, you can turn your laser pointer into an 'always on' state by just rotating the locker in the laser pointer body. Please note, the laser pointer, small vixen type shoe and the telescope shown in the pictures are not included.
For ZWO AM5 mount users: Please make sure you remove the laser pointer base from the mount after you complete the polar alignment, as leaving it in place may lead to damage to your laser pointer or the base when the RA axis rotates towards the East.
